Circular Practices

Calling is a big, abstract, overwhelming path to travel.

The reality is that there is no three-step-plan or formula. The discovery of calling most often reads less like a how-to-manual and more like poetry. Along this path of discovery are milestones and signposts that point us toward clarity.

The Calling and Career Office at Taylor exists to connect students to these signposts. A variety of events, trips and one-on-one appointments are available through our office—encouraging consideration of big future questions by way of present exploration.

We believe connecting students to all kinds of people and experiences within their realm of interest is the best way to move students toward understanding who they are and the unique contribution they will make in society and for the kingdom.

Our mission is animated by four pillars: Imagination, Risk, Truth and Collaboration. We call these circular practices, in that they are not stages, but rather core values and habits to regularly engage.

All the best,

Jeff Aupperle
